Can I take apart a Kenmore stacked washer/dryer for transport? Model # 41794712400

I purchased a used Kenmore stackable washer/dryer, model number 41794712400. We need to transport it from the seller and were wondering if we could safely take it apart and transport in two pieces?

The unit is not designed to be separated and should be moved as a complete unit.

Someone with enough time and tools could probably separate the dryer and washer but it most likely would never be the same again.

I do not recommend taking the unit apart to move.
